From new season colours to fresh new styles, here are a few points to note when shopping with our exclusive boutiques in-centre.
The Colours of Summer
Bright colours in general are set to be huge this Summer with lots of bold prints and vibrant colour blocking making a comeback.
As far as one standout shade to keep an eye out for, you’ll be seeing lots of YELLOW this season, mark my words.
Styles
Floral printed maxi and midi dresses in airy and light-weight fabrics will be everywhere coming into these warmer months as well as lots of bright and fun coloured oversized striped & checked button-up shirts in a breathable cotton or linen.
They are the perfect item to half-tuck into shorts or jeans. Don’t forget to roll the sleeves up for a more casual style.
Wardrobe Essentials
A great pair (or two) of statement sunglasses. They will elevate your entire outfit and really allow you to add a touch of your own personality to your overall look.
Also a good pair of summer slides or sandals to compliment all your favourite outfits.
Styling Tips
Keep it simple – One of the biggest trends this season is effortless dressing. This means, don’t overcomplicate things. If you wear a brightly coloured dress or outfit, don’t overdo to the accessories – simply let the outfit speak for itself.
Choose breathable fabrics – We all know how hot our Queensland Summers get, so choosing breathable fabrics is a MUST! Avoid choosing garments with fabrics that trap moisture during the summer. Synthetics usually aren’t breathable, so check clothing labels to make sure your clothes are 100 percent linen, cotton, or silk.
Invest in a good quality pair of leather sandals or slides – Flip-flops are great for going to the beach, but to dress up your look, try opting for a pair of stylish strappy sandals or woven espadrilles, these styles will still let your toes breathe yet elevate your look. Leather sandals come in comfortable options that will look more elegant than the standard foam flip-flops
